A Network Science Manifesto
Abstract: Is network science a discipline? And what is a network, anyway?
One report on network science lists among its findings: "The notion of
a science of networks is evolving, and there is limited understanding
of its ultimate scope and content." (NRC Committee on Network Science
for Future Army Applications, The National Academies Press 2005, p. 27).
I would like to share my view on where we are in this evolution.
